Former Information and then Railway minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmed is back into politics and announced the formation of his own party, the Awami Muslim League (AML).

After the PML-Q's crushing defeat in the February 18th elections, Sh. Rashid had hinted at the formation of a new party headed by him.

He has also formally resigned from the basic membership of the PML-Q.

What is interesting is that he has withdrawn his nomination papers for NA-55 by-elections (his home constituency), saying that the next 3 months were crticial for national politics.

He said his party policies will be based on the wishes and the will of the people and that it will never disappoint the masses.

It will be interesting to see who else amongst the prominent names comes forward to join this party.

Well, so Shaikh Rashid is back, what's next?
