Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said detaining ailing national hero Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan illegally in hospital and disallowing him to meet others is a bid to win the blessing of US.

"Our national hero is seriously ill. Keeping him detained in this precarious condition of health and disallowing him to meet others is a bid to please US," he said this while talking to media persons after an abortive attempt to meet, father of country’s nuclear program Dr A Q Khan who is put in KRL hospital.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad tried to enter into KRL hospital to meet Dr A Q Khan but the hospital administration locked the central gate of hospital. They explained that meeting could not be allowed during non-visitation hours.

"Dr A Q Khan is heart throb of the nation. His ailment has sent a wave of shock and dismay among the people. The need is there that he should be allowed to meet his relatives and friends to allay his mental shock, he said adding "Dr Khan is my old friend and it is a heinous act on the part of government to disallow me to meet him. The whole nation was waiting that some responsible person should meet Dr A Q Khan and make public the factual situation, he held.

Responding to a question he said Qadeer Khan was benefactor of the country and hero of Muslim youths. Therefore, he should be given due respect and be restored to his respective office. It was incumbent on election winning democratic forces to immediately announce to install Dr Qadeer Khan president of the country, he demanded.

The leadership of PPP, PML-N and other political parties to visit the hospital to in quire about his health, he stressed.

Inflicting mental torture on national hero is a shameful act and disallowing the visitors to meet him is cruel act, he underlined.

Talk-Backs:
Faisal:May Allah give Dr. AQ Khan health. He truly deserves the top most position in Pakistan but unfortunately our American Pet Dictator has detained him and even deprived him from the basic human rights.

Kaleem:I agree, he deserves to be the President of Pakistan! Long Live AQ Khan!

Faraz:Let him do, what hez best in.. instead of making him president. Encourage ppl doing their work instead of other ppl work. Immam-e-qaba is not King of saudia .. he is immam-e-qaba.

Kaleem:You are right Faraz... But this cud be a show of respect for the way he was sidelined and treated badly!

Faisal.K:Honestly to support someone who gave us the ultimate weapon of death in existence today seems rather immature to me. He should not be held captive, but there are other ways of paying respect then to make him president of our nation.

Faisal:well there must ve to be a strict criteria for da selection of our president such as his vision of economy, how he will he deal wid da parliament etc BUT if we can ve a bone head american pet as a our dictator president why not to try a national hero who has got something to say dat i ve done this much for da country.
