Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed addressed a Press conference at a local hotel in Islamabad yesterday. The Former federal minister and PML-Q central leader has said president Musharraf and the present assembly can not go together adding mouse and cat game will start within 3 months. Well! Well known for his 'fore-sightedness' and predictions, what does he mean now?

“We will have to see now whether the coalition government runs or other wise. Our politicians make such promises to seek vote which stand next to nil to be delivered. Ball is in the court of politicians now”, he said while addressing the press conference.

Regarding Nawaz Sharif, he said "I am not seeing his role in the present government adding Nawaz Sharif will have to wait for next assembly".

“Rumors were spread about my departure to Dubai and Spain after the elections. Ticket showing my departure was distributed in thousands”, he added.

“We have been punished due to gas, atta, electricity and sugar crisis. We accept the decision of people with open heart”, he maintained. He also claimed that more than anything else, the Lal-Masjid episode was responsible for their defeat, as it had inflamed the hearts of the people of Pakistan.

Shaikh Rasheed has also hinted at making his own political party, but said he would announce his decision after meeting the Chaudhry brothers sometime soon. He said he thinks his political career has only just begun and will quit politics at its twilight. Funny?!
