After a month of reading highbrow sort of literature, I was craving for something simple and sweet. Had enough of logics and reasons and wanted a bit of magic, so I dig out my childhood collection of books and settled myself contentedly with one of my Enid Blyton favorites, ‘Book of Brownies’. A fairytale story of three bad brownies that got kicked out Fairy land to find their goodness and kidnapped princess. They had many adventures and in their last adventure, they were standing outside the Witch Land and thinking of some way to get there and forlornly Hop the fat brownie decided that they couldn’t go inside, to which Skip replied that if you really truly want something than whole universe conspire to help you get it.

I sat up when I read this line. This children book which was written in 1940s, was purchased by me in 5th grade, on first page, a faded print proclaims the price which was 30 Rps. Interesting enough, especially when only a week ago I spent 900 Rps on ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne. A phenomenal best seller which has only one line being repeated again and again, If you really truly want something than whole universe conspire to help you get it.

Its ironical isn’t it? Life simple treasures are bestowed on us for free yet we don’t give any value to them because they were not wrapped in flashy parcel. The essence of ‘The Secret’ was that line and it was superbly presented with out of the world graphics, everybody paid attention to it and thought wow! What a phenomenal life altering formula! If The Book of Brownies is to be presented to some elder than I’m sure this line would seldom draw any attention, after all it’s a children book. This made me realize that even most casual things can contain deep messages. I don’t need to concentrate only on intellectual stuff to learn something, simple things are equally capable of teaching me something of high value and unveil the secrets of life.
