Charisma and style, a tall, well built man with a dynamic personality - Imran Khan, a popular figure in Pakistan. Born on November 25, 1952 in Lahore. His full name is Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi. One of the finest cricketer's Pakistan has ever produced, Imran was one of the fastest bowlers during the 1980's in the world. He led the Pakistani team in the 1992 world cup to victory, bringing glory to Pakistan. He then stepped into politics and established the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI). Imran Khan has been extremely vocal against the Musharraf regime and has blasted the administration on various issues. Since the Chief Justics of Pakistan, Iftikhar Chaudhry was first deposed, Imran Khan started gaining large following in the masses and is now considered one of the most influential politicians in Pakistan. He and his party have decided to boycott the February 18, 2008 elections. Imran is fighting for justice in Pakistan and had recently been under arrest after the imposition of emergency by the Musharraf regime. He once brought glory to Pakistan, he is one of those few individuals who have made Pakistani's feel proud, at home and abroad, in whatever context it may be. Can he do it again? The youth look at him for inspiration and guidance.
